I have a question about wedding photography?

I am shooting a wedding tomorrow and the wedding is taking place in a Civic Center and there is a pretty high stage., I am thinking I will have to be on that stage to get any decent pictures there is no balcony to get in so I would be at ground level shooting up if I am on the ground. What do you think?
