What insect could bite me over 125 times without me ever seeing it?

Hi Kasey- I'm not sure where you live but when on vacation in Florida before I was bitten by what's called "no see-ums" and they were like mosquito bites-very itchy but I never ONCE saw them (just like their name, they're teeny tiny and you can't see or feel them biting you). My Mom and I got bitten the worse, my Dad and brothers much less (they must like to bite women more?!) By the time I returned home from vacation, I had a hundred bites for weeks! I would suggest researching No see ums depending on where you live, it may be the case?! Good luck and I wish you the best in figuring out where your bites are coming from!!
