Why are police allowed to lie to you in order to get a confession?

They do it all the time. That's why there are a lot of innocent people in jail today!!! The quicker the police make an arrest the less foot work they have to do!! Best thing for anyone to remember, when a cop stops you, keep your mouth shut, don't agree with anything, just ask for an attorney, even if you ARE caught with drugs in your possession.!
