A question involving falling and physics.?

If you were on some kind of platform like a balcony and then that balcony cracked away from the room. It's whatever height that would kill you once you hit the ground. If you hung onto the rail while you were falling and then jumped off of the balcony at the last second before it hit the ground, would you still be alive?
