Earwigs in my house!!!!!!!?

So there are earwigs in my house and I have a garden on my balcony and I know they come from that but yet they are in my room all the time and tonight I just found one on my bed! So how to I get them from coming down to the first floor (I cant get rid of the plants due to my parents) so how to stop them from coming into my room? Anything that will kill them and wont kill a cat ?
